1. Spontaneity- There’s nothing better than going off on an impulse. Call her up and tell her she has a couple of hours to dress up because you guys are going out to the city on a fancy date. It’s a whole lot better than the routine of kicking it at the house and watching some How I met your mother.Consistency- The thing is, a guy will spend so much of his time and energy to get a girl. He’ll pull off all of the cute things just to get her to notice him. But once he has her, it’s no longer a challenge. Everything falls apart from there. Always treat her like it’s day one.
2. Don’t get defensive- Girls are going to pry at you. Don’t get defensive. You’re just going to instigate an argument and everything’s going to get pretty damn awkward from there on. If she wants to check your texts, let her. Don’t stop questioning her motives. She just wants to know that she can trust you.
3. Honesty- Whatever you do, don’t lie to her. Girls are over-analytical. They will take everything you say under scrutiny. She’s constantly going to put pressure on your words so it’s best that you don’t lie to her face. They always have a penchant of finding out sooner or later so it’s best that you hit it straight on.C
4. Friend does not equal girlfriend- Too many times before, I’ve seen guys treat their boo like they treat their friends. She’s not your friend. She’s your lover. Two different things, two different levels on the spectrum. Unless you kiss your friends, don’t treat her like she’s one of your Call of Duty buddies.
5. Listen to her- If she’s having a difficult day, put down everything you’re doing. It’s about to be a long ass night. Listen to her problems and comfort her. If she says some girl at school or work is messing with her, you better get out your brass knuckles and square up with that girl that’s giving your boo problems. I’m just kidding. But when a girl tells you something, she trusts you; by showing her that you’re listening, it also shows that you care for her. It’s a win win situation.
6. Chivalry- Yeah, we all say chivalry is dead. Doesn’t mean you can’t do it. Even a simple opening of the car door can go a long way. It’ll show that you’re well-mannered and behaved. Show up at her door with a rose. You hardly ever see that anymore outside of the Disney movies.
7. Give her space- We all know that guys want to show their affection. But too much is always a bad thing. I always hear girls say that they feel like their being smothered because their boyfriend is constantly there. You’re going to come off as needy and annoying. Once you’re there, you might as well say good game.
8. Humor - Hands down, there is nothing better than the laugh of a female. Crack some jokes here and there to ease the tension. You have to know the timing of when to unleash the Kraken. Don’t make a joke when you guys are having an argument. It’s inappropriate and says that you’re immature. But when you can pull it off perfectly, she will love you.
9. Intimacy- Intimacy doesn’t just mean the lovey-dovey things. You also have to be willing to tell her personal things that you’ve never told anyone before. It’s going to show that you’re really comfortable with her and that you trust her. Trust is the foundation of a relationship; by telling her things about your past, you’re adding reinforcement to the foundation.
10. Show her you care- Be with her at her lows, so she can be the reason for your highs.
